Hodges Family

Well we have not been up to a whole lot lately so we haven't written in a while. Besides the trip to Bear Lake, Kimball has been gone part of every week the last five or six weeks so we haven't been doing a lot around here. He does tell me he is done for a while so I hope that a while means the same to both of us!!
Kimball was just put in as Executive Secretary so he is very busy and overwhelmed with that. He can't believe how much paperwork goes on behind the scenes.
Emma just started preschool and that is fun for us. There is a little boy in our ward in her class and we just started carpooling and it is wonderful to only have to drive every other week. She likes it and seems to be learning a lot. Her gymnastics is right after preschool at the same place so I only have to drive to gymnastics every other seek as well. Emma also took a soccer class for the month of September. It is a parent child class so she and Kimball have been able to spend that time together. Kimball says they practice the same thing every week and kids are always crying but Emma says she has fun and shows me all her moves. She also started ballet and loves it. All the girls are dressed up so cute every week and her teacher is really sweet and good with the girls. I think that is what I am most excited about her doing this year.
We got season tickets to the BYU games for Kimball, Emma, and I. Emma dresses up in her cheerleader outfit every week and Kimball trys to get her to let him hold her up to do a cheer in the crowd. It is pretty cute.
Edison is a crazy man. He is not a baby anymore and there are a few moments it makes you sad and then I remember what a bad baby he was and am glad he is growing up. He is so cute now. He tells us everything in sentences and teases us and laughs all the time. I'm glad we didn't give him up that first year. He wants to do everything Emma does and is sad when she goes to school or to the neighbors to play. He loves shoes and tells me "cute" when I get him dressed in the morning. You can tell he spends most of his time with girls.
We are loving our ward and neighborhood and house. the basement is still almost finished. Kimball's brother is going to finish the bathroom and the cabinet guy is supposed to finish the last set of cabinets this week. Theres still touch up painting and organizing and canned lights for the kitchen, etc. but everything is livable now and we are enjoying the space.
