Emma had her tonsils and adnoids removed on Wednesday. This is a picture of her right before she went into surgery. She is doing very well. She hates taking medicine and would prefer the pain to swallowing one teaspoon of it, but she is much happier when she takes it so we bribe her three times a day. I am afraid by the time she recovers she is going to be used to being spoiled and we are going to be in trouble. It really is amazing how quietly she sleeps now. I was checking on her last night and I had my ear down to her face and I wasn't sure I could hear her breathing. Kind of scary since before you just had to go to her door and know she was okay. The doctor said her tonsils were big and her adnoids were huge so she only had a very small hole to breath through. Crazy to wonder what the difference must be to her.
We are working on our house this weekend. We have a guy putting in sprinklers and another couple guys framing, wiring and plumbing the basement. We are excited to have things moving forward. Both kids are super ready to be out playing in the yard.
